Congratulations to our parent graduates of the Level 2 Teaching Assistant course. Our CEO, Marino Charalambous, was honoured to present their certificates at a special ceremony. #Graduation #TeachingAssistants #CareerReady

This year Heron’s Open Evening will take place on Tuesday, 8 October 2024, 5.30pm -7.30pm.

You will be able to have a tour around the school to see our fantastic classroom, sports, teaching and learning facilities.

Headteacher, Arthur Barzey, will do two short presentations about the school to families in the great hall at 5.45pm and 6.45pm.

Once again we will be giving all our families who come on the night a free gift to say thank you!

It’s been a great start to the academic year. Many congratulations to all our staff awards’ winners and special thanks to Doug Taylor, former leader of Enfield Council and Oveta McInnis, Heron Hall Chair of Governors,  for helping us.

Enfield Council’s Holiday Activities and Food Programme offers free holiday camps & activities for children eligible for Free School Meals during the Summer school holidays. Activities include sports, enrichment workshops, healthy food sessions, and a FREE lunch daily. Your child can participate in up to 4 days of sessions from 29 July – 30 August. We are thrilled to announce that we have been awarded the prestigious title of Multi Academy Trust of the Year 2024! 

This recognition is a testament to the incredible dedication of our whole Trust community, including our students, families, volunteers, and all our amazing colleagues. 

We are truly grateful for the hard work and commitment that has led to this achievement. 

We beat off over 1,000 other trusts who are members of the Confederation of School Trusts (CST), the organisers of these Awards for Excellence.

In particular, we have done extraordinarily well to beat some of the very biggest trusts in the country.

The Chair of our Board of Trustees, Dr Donald Graham, has issued this quote:

“Winning the MAT of the Year award is a fantastic achievement that recognises the hard work of our staff, children, parents, trustees, governors, and the communities we serve.“

We were also finalists in the Community Trust of the Year category but alas just fell short to pick up that award.

Let’s continue to inspire our students to believe in themselves and reach their full potential.

There is so much more work to do as we continue to put children at the heart of everything.

The school had an incredible day of celebration as we were given the prestigious Silver Award in The Pearson National Teaching Awards for UK Primary School of the Year. Thank you to our brilliant families and children!

Mental Health Awareness Week runs from Monday 13 May to Sunday 19 May, and this year’s theme is all about prioritising movement for well-being.

Bring your toddlers to our FREE Hummingbirds stay & play session. There will be lots of fun activities, snacks and refreshments to keep your little ones entertained and engaged. We hope to see you there.
